Why You Should Join the NYTC Volunteering Community?

Become a volunteer with NYTC, and there are several reasons to participate. 

Volunteers actively participate in various programs and projects that directly impact positive changes in New York City. They engage with various demographics, building connections that go beyond limitations and having a real impact on others' lives and the community at large. 

In addition, volunteering for professional and personal development enables people to increase their networks, learn new skills, and improve their well-being. Access to resources, appreciation, and a feeling of community are other positives of being a member of NYTC, which eventually encourages a deeper sense of fulfillment and purpose through actions of advocacy and service.

Requirements 

1.) High school students aged 14-18 are eligible to participate in volunteer activities at New York Tutoring Center.

2.) Volunteer must read and sign the program policy before engaging with the volunteer program 

Parental/guardian consent is mandatory for participation.

Application Process 

Interested and eligible students must submit a detailed volunteer application form.

Applications will undergo thorough review, and selected candidates may be interviewed to assess their suitability for specific volunteer roles.

Acceptance into the volunteer program is subject to availability and alignment with the organization's needs.

Volunteer Responsibilities

Attend and actively participate in mandatory orientation sessions to familiarize themselves with the organization's mission, values, and policies, especially as they contribute to the community and become our future leaders.

Commit to fulfilling agreed-upon volunteer hours and responsibilities with dedication and enthusiasm.

Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic throughout the volunteer term.

Strictly adhere to the organization's rules, policies, and procedures.

Maintain a positive and respectful attitude towards fellow volunteers, staff, and everyone involved.

Uphold confidentiality by not disclosing sensitive information acquired during volunteer activities.

Proactively contribute to the organization's goals and initiatives beyond the minimum requirements.

Volunteers will be responsible for keeping track of their hours and duties. At the end of the program, volunteers may request their hours.
